Looscan Branch Library

HOUSTON, TEXAS

This 1950’s City of Houston branch library needed ADA improvements and the city also wanted aesthetic renovations. A new teen area, a conference room, new toilet rooms, and new staff work and break areas were added along with new furniture, finishes and equipment. This project was cancelled prior to start of construction and a new replacement library was designed. m ARCHITECTS was a finalist in the design team selection process. Below is our concept for the design of the replacement library.

m ARCHITECTS served as principal architect in association with Jones Engineers, L.P as the MEP Engineer and Landtech Consultants, Inc as the Civil Engineer..
